Released 4 September 2026
VoxFrame 1.2.0
Improvements
- The full VoxFrame player now has one independent Pro interface, executable and shortcut. The compact player continues as a separate product with its own project and release path.
- Online video settings now show only the practical choices for the download folder, what opens after a download, subtitle sources and languages, and automatic download-support updates; technical choices are handled safely in the background.
- Verified yt-dlp 2026.08.19 and Deno 2.9.5 download support is included, so a clean installation can download videos immediately. Existing verified managed updates remain available and the included tools remain a safe fallback.
- Player and Cloud purchases now open the official VoxFrame website. The desktop player no longer contains a checkout; the website presents Player License, Cloud Plus and Cloud Pro in the same clear card layout as the separate Simple purchase page.
- The player and online account now show three separate Cloud balances: OpenSubtitles credits, transcription minutes and translation minutes. Cloud-based Player Pro lasts only for the active Cloud period; a separately purchased permanent Player License never expires with Cloud.
- The single online account page now clearly accepts both Pro and Simple licences. Simple customers can securely view their plan, remaining subtitle-file translations, live-subtitle minutes and devices without using an extra device slot.
Bug fixes
- The settings page no longer exposes technical format, playlist, network, component and expert controls; existing hidden technical values are reset to safe recommended defaults while the seven visible user choices are preserved.
- The selected source language is now preserved across fast local transcription, the local fallback engine and Cloud transcription instead of later routes reverting to automatic detection.
- The subtitle assistant now checks OpenSubtitles in the requested language and every usable subtitle already available with the video before starting speech recognition: matching embedded, external or sidecar text, English or another text subtitle for translation, and an existing generated transcript. Only sidecars belonging to the same video are considered.
- Complete Purfview/Faster-Whisper transcription models are reused without a network request. Missing or interrupted model files are resumed or repaired, and temporary downloads are removed after failure or cancellation.
- During playback the player controls hide after inactivity, return on pointer movement or a click, and remain visible when playback is paused or stopped.
- Large and clear controls no longer force extra-large subtitles. Normal, large and extra-large subtitle size now remain independently selectable and are applied to the active video.
- The Player purchase button on the public website now opens the official online Player and Cloud checkout instead of the download-only page. The download page also shows direct choices for Player License, Cloud Plus and Cloud Pro.
- Account actions are now consistently aligned. Manage payments opens the secure Stripe customer portal for both Pro and Simple, the signed-in licence key is shown without browser storage, and a new-purchase key is never silently substituted.
- The public Simple pages now have localized search metadata, sitemap entries and a dedicated Simple sharing image; private account and admin pages remain excluded from search.
